[Phono-L] Amberola A-VI help

 Not so much a point, actually.  Seeing as Edison & Co realized it was a 
problem & provided replacements, it's perfectly legit to seek another 
replacement today.  I see nothing wrong with a better alternative to the 
best they had at the time, which was aluminum.

That's a point. I bought it because it was so unusual and beautiful, and 
maybe the noise is a part of that. but that aluminum gear is going to keep 
on wearing down...I like the nylon idea!

Perhaps the machine is what it is...It has made 90+ years. Enjoy it squawks
and noises and wrinkles.
