My goodness, that soundbox has to be the rarest of the rare. Let's keep an eye on this one, I wouldn't be surprised if it greatly exceeds the starting bid amount.

Hi John, 

This is the reproducer that came on the "uncatalogued" Edison needle-cut 
portable that was produced prior to the P-1 and P-2 models. I have one of 
these machines with that exact reproducer and it really is beautiful with a 
very heavy nickel finish just as you see in the offering on eBay. It's 
interesting that such a beautiful reproducer was placed on a machine with a 
really junky pot metal tonearm. It appears to me that the machine itself 
was made by the Prime Manufacturing Co. and Edison must have supplied only 
the reproducer. I've never before seen one in the original box.
