Personally I’m not going to sweat the future if this hobby. I buy machines
not as an investment, but because I love them and they make me feel good. I
enjoy the hunt (there’s still great stuff out there to be found at
unbelievably low prices), and the time spent with friends I can share my
passion for collecting with. If the bulk of us are in our fifties, the
hobby is good for at least another thirty or forty years. When we pass, and
the market is flooded with machines, young collectors will be able to
purchase them at an affordable price. Everything comes full circle. The
future of the hobby may change, but it’s never going to go away. As for me,
I’m just going to enjoy it for what it is today.
