For whatever reason, I did not receive my own message, but I did receive
this response, so now I know the message got through and will stop puzzling
over that, so double thanks for the response!

I now see that I can enlarge the photo and the word "Victor" is visible on
the side of the gramophone, which seems inappropriate, as Barraud probably
would not have been doing them for the VTMCo anyway. Well - as with all
items in the price range this is expected to fetch - Buyer beware! It's an
interesting story anyway...

If you check out the photo of an original on page 2-1 of our Nipper 
Collectibles book, and compare it to the auction photo, you will immediately

see that it is a poor replica.
