Hi Allen --

It's basically a mechanical procedure, very straightforward, that you
can have done by any number of people in the phonograph restoration
world. However, my experience is that Steve Medved has a unique
sensitivity to the nuances of several affiliated aspects of this job,
that most of the others don't possess or don't worry about. In
addition, he does listening tests on suitable machines as part of the
work. He may recommend other improvements, such as replacing gaskets,
which should be done at any rate if the existing ones are original or
hard.

The result of Steve's conscientious approach can be a dramatic
improvement in sound quality and volume, over what you might expect
from a simple R & R (remove & replace) of the stylus bar or basic
stylus and gasket replacement.

Good luck,
Andy
