[Phono-L] Peter Pan Portable

I'm looking at a Peter Pan spring barrel and it looks like it is soldered
shut.  Am I correct in this assessment?  Hints/tips on disassembly are
appreciated.  Right now I'm thinking that I should soak it to soften the
grease, get as much of it out as I can and then start gently warming the top
cover with a torch (outside, I might add).  Fortunately they provide a notch
where I can try putting in a small screwdriver and where I imagine the
grease is/was added after assembly.
