George and I had an ongoing discussion on this Amberola B-V. I own serial number 436. It has a single spring Amberola 30 mechanism, not the two spring of the 50 or 75. Of the other few B-Vs I have seen none have had the more expensive two spring motor. Some may have been made using the two spring motor but this cannot be confirmed until one is found and examined. What George and I were using were factory memos that were often suggestions rather than edicts. When it was decided to marry the new mechanisms to the V cabinets to clear stocks the key words were "cheaply offered" before the introduction of the Amberolas 30, 50, and 75.
