I just noticed that the eyes and latchhooks on the questionable puck are in a different position than the machine pictured at this link http://members.aol.com/edisonphonograph/puck.htm, but they are in the same position as the advertisement's picture found on same webpage, which suggests the machine pictured at the link is in the wrong (though I realize different cabinetmakers could've put the latches wherever they felt like on any given day, model year, etc.). Other differences are that the auction puck's base is considerably shorter (which Tim said it might be), and the governor weights are shaped differently (I don't know if that means anything). I agree the lid looks new too, and I notice the handle on the advertisement is not hinged. Stands to reason; you wouldn't hinge an all-metal handle that would rest on a flat piece of wood, right? Too bad there aren't pictures of the inside of the base and lid; I'd like to see them, too. Anyone in the Santa Monica area willing to go find out more? Oh, and I can't get the http://home.comcast.net/~jancur/phonos/colas/colas.html link to work. I'd love to see the pictures. Thanks, Robert
