Hello Bruce,

Used in public settings where volume required, and not radio. Vertically
recorded.

Best,

I just found some record oddities, which I assume are some early Radio
Transcription type records, they are very heavy and 15 3/4" across. Maybe
someone can shed some ligh on them and since I have nothing that will
accomodate this size record, are they vertical or lateral groove ?

Here goes: Pathe Actuelle 535B "Just a Girl that Men Forget" by Fry's
Million Dollar Pier Orchestra & "I'm drifting back to Dreamland" by the same
artist. This is a black and white Pathe Actuelle Label and it says at the
bottom "pathe phonograph and radio corp. copyright 1920., Music Service
Corp. Fall River, 576Mass. Black and white label: "I want to see my
Tennessee by Lanin's Arcadians & "Where's my Sweety Hiding (same artist),
Music Sevice Corp. "Hinky Dinky Parlay Voo? 563 by Nathan Glantz and his
orchestra & Oh Sarah by Nathan Glantz and his Orchestra with vocal by Vernon
Dalhart (do you have this one Jack Palmer??), Pathe Actuelle 7536 Washington
Grays March by the Empire State Military Band &"Light Out" March, Music
Service Co. 552 "From one till Two" by N.Glantz and Orchestra, & Where the
Lazy Daisies Grow by Lanins Arcadians, Music Service Co. 548 "What'll I do"
by Casino Dance Orchestra (is this an alias for some other band?), & A Smile
will go a long long way by Lanin's Arcadians. and finally 544 Music Service
Company, Songs of other days medley, and Southland Medley by M. LoScalzo and
his instrumental Quartet . Can anyone out there identify these heavy large
monsters for me. I am assuming these were used on early radio.

Thanks,

Bruce
