Hi Robert, Thanks for your confidence, but I don't have personal experience

with this machine. It is a Columbia 161 and uses what appears to be the #15
Viva-Tonal reproducer.

Since the discussion has come around to portables, I was wondering if anyone
has ever come across a Columbia portable model 140. I came across this unit
at an auction and picked it up simply because it seemed unusual to me. It's
in excellent condition, has a Grafonola reproducer and plays through the LID
of the machine with adjustable louvers which can be used to control volume.
Has anyone seen a machine such as this?

Thanks, Art Heller
