By Amberola 50, I am assuming you are reffering to those V's that came out after the fire with the cheaper mechanisms and shipped starting in May of 1915? The one I have is the earlier type with the original traveling reproducer carriage and telescopic horn connection to a swivel arm. This horn is stationary, and the carrier arm is supported by twin guide rods set in front of the mandrel and has automatic stop cams. It is a function that is so much more interesing and unique then the more common and simpler later version, although the later version offered the more desirable mahogany semi-gloss finish.
