One last blurb about the Ada Jones death certificate. Since we are looking at a hurriedly prepared original issued by North Carolina, it would be interesting to see what information (if any) the City of New York may have on File for Ada. This should be able to be accessed by searching the Death records of New York City residents for May of 1922. It is possible that the local record may hopefully be more accurate. What is astounding to me is that North Carolina accepted and processed the original without her actual residential address, with an incorrect spelling of her married name (didn't Ada carry any kind of ID that could be checked?), and without an actual date of birth! Yes, I know there are many other things missing on the certificate, but the ones I mention are normally legal requirements prior to its acceptance as a legal document.
