Hi John,I have only heard of two without damage, one was a C-19 that remained in its crate until the late 60's and yours. I have seen 2 or 3 that have long tears and were very fragile, but yours is the nicest one I have ever seen a photo of. The silk did not hold up well. The later style of material found on the Loundon series and C-19's held up better. I also heard of a near perfect on ruined by visiting children so you need to be careful.Steve> Date: Fri, 16 Mar 2007 06:07:24 -0800> From: john9ten at pacbell.net> To: phono-l at oldcrank.org> Subject: [Phono-L] C-19 orig cloth pics> > C-19 orig cloth pics> Here are a few pics of the C-19 that was given to me recently, and the grille cloth which appears to be original and undamaged. That's a rarity, no? According to another email in the forum, the original cloth for oak for a period of time was salmon colored. It has faded a bit, but you can bet I am leaving it there!> http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/john9ten@pacbell.net/album?.dir=/b0bescd&.src=ph&.tok=phcuUcGBhv7Ojn0s> _______________________________________________> Phono-L mailing list> http://phono-l.oldcrank.org
