[Phono-L] Edison article in NY Times

 This article is extracted from the new book, bearing the title Edison did NOT like: 
"Wizard of Menlo Park" .

 You'd think somebody writing a book would look up basic facts, but here's a quote 
which jumped out at me right away, and I'm no expert on the people mentioned:

" (She [Sarah Bernhardt] did endorsements for commercial products like a dentifrice 
for a fee, but she did draw the line when P. T. Barnum offered her $10,000 for the 
rights to display a medical curiosity: her amputated leg.) "

This would've been quite a feat for Barnum, who died 24 YEARS before BErnhardt's leg 
was cut off!   haha
