Hi Kat, Welcome aboard. I'm afraid I don't know much about your phonograph in particular. I'm guessing it is a Canadian brand. What I can tell you is that, since it is not one of the major brands, such as Victor, Edison or Columbia, in general it would not be as sought after by collectors. When patents held by the majors ran out, there was a blossoming of independent manufacturers who pretty much didn't last long. Usually these machines have pot metal parts that are hard to replace if broken (and pot metal almost always deteriorates with time). The fact that it is in good condition is a definite plus. If it is a fairly plain wooden cabinet, I estimate it would probably be in the $150 to $250 USD range. If it is ornately carved, it could be worth more but probably not too much more. I hope some of the other list members will add to, agree with or dispute these remarks as needed. Oh, needles can still be easily purchased. They should be used once only and then thrown away. Never re-use a needle. They were designed to be very expendable. I have one (floor model) that is in mint condition with the crank, needles, etc. It was my mother's and I would like to know what the value would be. I live in Canada and was wondering if anyone knows who I could contact to find out the value. It has the book cases with the 78's in them plus I have tons more of 78's. Thank you for any help that you can give to me. >From the Desk of Kat Hall Review Coordinator for Champagne Books Head Reader for Champagne Books www.champagnebooks.com _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.oldcrank.org
