The most problematical part was the cast iron base.  A cast iron foundry in 
San Francisco charged me all of $16 for each of 4 castings made from my 
pattern.  I kept one, Art Wilmoth took the other three, one for himself and two for 
friends.  Art did the lathe work on his three and I did mine.  The iron base 
had to be soft as it was turned to true one face and have the same marks as the 
original.  We used the plans available then from the Ford Musem and this was 
in the late 1970's.  I still have mine which has no makers mark.  I don't know 
what happened to the three Art had and if he stamped them for identification 
in any way.
 
Elmer Jones made some in southern California.  Others were made in Utah.  I 
don't know how many.
