For removing the turntable shaft, try this tool. Piano technicians drive new tuning pins into the sound board by using a punch made for the purpose. It has a concave hole in the bottom so that it doesn't slip off the pin and so that it distributes the blow more evenly over the surface of the pin with less chance of marking it. Those clever in the machine shop could make a similar tool out of brass (softer and less likely to mar the driven surface) by drilling the new punch with an appropriately chosen drill and then finishing with an appropriately chosen bit in a Dremel tool.
